Historic Site: Hiram Masonic Lodge
The Hiram Masonic Lodge is a historic Gothic revival building in Franklin, Tennessee. Constructed in 1823, it is the oldest public building in Franklin and is the oldest Masonic Hall in continuous use in Tennessee. The building was the location of the negotiation and signing of the Treaty of Franklin in 1830 and served as a hospital for Union soldiers after the Battle of Franklin during the Civil War. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.
