Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area encompasses more than 170,000 acres of forest, wetlands, and open land in Tennessee and Kentucky. This family friendly recreation area, which lies between Kentucky Lake and Barkely Lake, is one of the largest blocks of undeveloped forest in the eastern United States.
With 300 miles of natural shoreline, more than 500 miles of trail, 190 acres of wildlife refuge, 240 different species of birds, and programs for school groups and scouts, Land Between the Lakes has someting for everyone!
